While we missed having Mr. E at this photo session, it turned out to be a perfect time to capture a little mother/daughter time before this little one becomes a big sister. Photographing kids is not usually my forte but little Eniye was a star; and if the time ever comes, I hope I can look as graceful and chic as this mommy-to-be.
On the eve of the day they said “I do,” Candyce, Kenesky and I wandered the streets of San Francisco to take in some of the city’s most beautiful sites. We watched the sun’s hue change from yellow to orange across the Golden Gate Bridge before making our way to the Palace of Fine Arts as the sun finally disappeared from our view.
“I want a life measured in first steps on foreign soils and deep breaths in brand new seas. I want a life measured in welcome signs, each stamped with a different name, borders marked with metal and paint. Show me the streets that don’t know the music of my meandering feet, and I will play their song upon them. Perfume me please in the smells of far away, and I will never wash my hair if it promises to stay. I want a life measured in the places I haven’t gone, short sleeps on long flights, strange voices teaching me new words to describe the dawn.”
